Kristin Donnelly, AKBD

Designer

Kristin is a Lincoln native and graduate of Pius X High School where she was the recipient of numerous art awards and participated in competitive year-round sports.  Her passion for art and creativity led her to choose an Interior Design major in college.  She attended the University of Nebraska at Kearney where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and received her degree in Interior Design.  The UNK Interior Design program was accredited by the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA), which enabled her to focus on the complexity of designing kitchens and bathrooms. She was on the Academic Dean’s List every semester, and received the “Outstanding Junior Interior Design Student” scholarship award as well as the “NKBA Outstanding Senior Student” Scholarship award.  While at UNK, Kristin also served as the Secretary of the Student Interior Design Organization.

She began her professional design career at Reynolds in August of 2011, a few months after graduating at UNK. She received her AKBD (Associate Kitchen and Bath Designer) certification from NKBA in 2012. She is an active professional member of NKBA and is also involved in the Home Builders Association of Lincoln, Remodelers Council, and Young Building Professionals of Lincoln, frequently attends the national Kitchen and Bath industry shows (KBIS), and participates in various local community service organizations.

Kristin is very outgoing and loves working with people.  She considers kitchen and bath design as an “ever-changing” creative field and welcomes any and all design challenges.  In her spare time, she enjoys traveling with family and friends, painting and drawing, snowboarding, being outdoors, playing golf and softball, and watching the Huskers win!
